Organ - Level 3 SKU: BA.BA05897-67 Chorale Setting. Composed by Ge...(+)
Organ - Level 3 SKU: BA.BA05897-67 Chorale Setting. Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Edited by Ute Poetzsch. Arranged by Andreas Kohs. This edition: urtext edition. Stapled. Barenreiter Urtext. Single part. VWV 1. 13 pages. Baerenreiter Verlag #BA05897_67. Published by Baerenreiter Verlag (BA.BA05897-67). ISBN 9790006563104. 32.5 x 25.5 cm inches. Chorale settings form a central part of Telemann's oeuvre. His 1754 setting of the church hymn Christus, der ist mein Leben, based on Melchoir Vulpius' melody from the Hamburg Hymnal, is especially well-suited to display his mastery in depicting the words of the chorale. The so-called Ausfullungsbass (a vocal bass added to the principal bass in tutti passages) was probably necessitated by the acoustical properties of Hamburg's churches.
This is the first Urtext edition of this highly successful chorale setting which is based on Georg Philipp Telemann Musical Works. The score contains a realisation of the continuo part.
* First Urtext edition based on Georg Philipp Telemann Musical Works * An attractive addition to the repertoire with a view to the Telemann Year 2017 * Bilingual Foreword (Ger/Eng) * Uncluttered idiomatic piano reduction. About Barenreiter Urtext Orchestral Parts Why musicians love to play from Bärenreiter Urtext Orchestral Parts - Urtext editions as close as possible to the composer’s intentions - With alternate versions in full score and parts - Orchestral parts in an enlarged format of 25.5cm x 32.5cm - With cues, rehearsal letters, and page turns where players need them - Clearly presented divisi passages so that players know exactly what they have to play - High-quality paper with a slight yellow tinge which does not glare under lights and is thick enough that reverse pages do not shine through

Organ SKU: HL.48024625 Transcription for Organ. Composed by Richard Strauss. Edited by Robert Gower. BH Piano. Classical. Softcover. 12 pages. Boosey & Hawkes #M060134869. Published by Boosey & Hawkes (HL.48024625). ISBN 9781540052841. UPC: 888680940799. 9.0x12.0 inches. Organists will be unable to resist this abridged transcription of Strauss's magnificent essay for symphonic brass. Robert Gower masterfully renders for a solo performer the rich harmonies and challenging cross-rhythms of the original score. Moreover, he offers a versatile reading playable on instruments both large and small: optional registration indications for a two-manual organ seek to reflect the antiphonal possibilities of the two brass choirs envisaged by Strauss. But with this piece the larger the instrument, the greater the potential for sonic spectacular! $17.99 - See more - Buy online
| Magnificat in C major Organ Breitkopf & Härtel
Organ SKU: BR.OB-32108-11 With Insertion Movements for Performances ov...(+)
Organ SKU: BR.OB-32108-11 With Insertion Movements for Performances over Christmas - Urtext. Composed by Johann Kuhnau. Edited by David Erler. Choir; stapled. Orchester-Bibliothek (Orchestral Library). Mass; Baroque. Part. 24 pages. Duration 30'. Breitkopf and Haertel #OB 32108-11. Published by Breitkopf and Haertel (BR.OB-32108-11). ISBN 9790004343050. 10 x 12.5 inches. Kuhnau's Magnificat in C major is - apart from his Biblical Sonatas - considered to be his most ambitious and best known work. However, as recent research has revealed, there are indeed many other large-scale works among his oeuvre which are largely presumed lost today, apart from those that were published as first editions. Until now, only insufficient or erroneous editions of the Magnificat have been available, a piano reduction has not been available at all. Beyond that, editor David Erler has succeeded in tracking down new evidence on the authorship of four Laudes (insertion movements for performances over Christmas) and to carry out their altogether new placement in the main work. He was able to prove that Bach's Magnificat directly succeeded Kuhnaus's work and that the use of such Laudes was common in Leipzig's parish churches and beyond. $24.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 3 to 4 weeks

Organ SKU: BA.BA09076-67 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Edited by John Michael Cooper. This edition: urtext edition. Folded. Barenreiter Urtext. Single part. MWV A 23. 3 pages. Baerenreiter Verlag #BA09076_67. Published by Baerenreiter Verlag (BA.BA09076-67). ISBN 9790006531554. 32.5 x 25.5 cm inches. Text: William Bartholomew. Mendelssohn's setting of Psalm 98 was written in a few weeks to satisfy a commission in his new position as general music director of Prussia and was premiered by the Berlin Cathedral Choir on 1 January 1844. As he neither released the work for publication nor produced a vocal score, his psalm setting did not appear in print until after his death.
For this edition the authoritative Mendelssohn specialist John Michael Cooper drew primarily on the autograph score with its many subsequent corrections and amendments. In this way it differs from many other editions, which tend to treat the autograph as a subordinate source. Rounding off the edition are an informative Foreword and a detailed Critical Commentary. The piano reduction is based on the first printed edition, published by F. Kistner and Evers & Co. in 1851. Organ Coro II-The Missa in F of 1734 for two or four choirs is probably Pergolesi’s most important work for choir and orchestra. The nickname 'Missa Romana' was added later in reference to a performance given in Rome during Pergolesi’s lifetime. This Urtext edition presents the work for the first time in the four-choir version that Pergolesi wrote for the above mentioned performance in Rome. Choirs III and IV are reproduced in smaller type and are added to the version for double choir in order to intensify the overall sound. This allows the work to be performed not only with two choirs but also in the delightful enlarged version for fourchoirs. Rounding off the edition are an informative Foreword (Eng/Ger) and a Critical Commentary (Eng).First publication with choirs III and IV.Can be performed with both two or four choirs.Idiomatic well-presented Piano reduction.Full score performance material (BA8958) and vocal score (BA8958-90) available for sale.

from the Opera 'Tannhauser'-During his time in Weimar (1848 1861) Liszt developed a then entirely new organ style which stands out for both orchestral and pianistic elements. Together with the choirmaster Alexander Wilhelm Gottschalg (1827 1908) from Tiefurt he regularly initiated so-called 'organ conferences'. And it was at the suggestion of Gottschalg that the present arrangement of the Pilgrim's Choir from the opera 'Tannhäuser' was written. With his version for organ Liszt by means of this example laid the foundations for the (not always undisputed) tradition extending to the present day of organ transcriptions from the operas of Wagner. 'Organistic' elements in the Pilgrims' Choir are theclassical chorale theme the solemn 'sacred' atmosphere of the solemn tempo as well as the expressive cantability. The linear intensification from the antiphonal-organ-like piano dolce of the beginning to the 'full organ' can be realized in a convincing manner with an orchestrally conceived three-manual organ with the sensitive use of the swell box and the successive seamless build-up of the crescendo pedal being of particular significance. Important repertoire piece marking the 200th birthday of Richard Wagner in 2013.

BWV 248. Par BACH JOHANN SEBASTIAN. For this edition, Carsten Klomp has transferred the orchestral movement of the 1st cantata from Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio to the organ. It not only enables a performance with a reduced line-up, but also a tonally appealing and surprisingly coherent rendition of this wonderful music. The way the voices are distributed on the manuals and pedal and the balance between virtuosity and good playability ensure both proximity to the original score and an organ-appropriate implementation. Instead of a simple piano reduction on the organ, this version offers an independent performance option that allows the organ to be used in all of its facets and possibilities. The vocal parts (solos and choir) are identical to the edition of the original version (Carus 31.248/00), so that the piano reduction and choral score can be used. The single part for the organ was optimized for page turning, i.e. the choral parts were not printed, but the dacapo was always notated out. / Date parution : 2021-12-09/ Répertoire / Orgue
