Here is the 2013 dance-pop hit from Pitbull featuring Ke$ha in a very playable but hip-sounding arrangement by Mike Story. With a definite western flavor, this solid chart features lots of rhythmic drive, and is perfect for the stands as well as for dance and drill teams. (1:45).

Following Malletino and Fun-4-All, this work is the third in a series of compositions for five mallet instruments and five percussion instruments (including bongos and timpani). Malletino was written specifically for beginnerpercussion ensembles, whereas the technical and musical level required for Sequenza Percussola is clearly higher. In short, this work is a challenge for the ensemble-and a great pleasure for the audience.

Four Elements was originally composed for Violin and Bass Trombone and was written as a Christmas present for the composer's sister, Priscilla, and her husband, Bass Trombonist, Gordon Hallberg who performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.Raum was experimenting with tone rows at the time and the row is first stated in the first six notes in the Trombone part followed by the next six in the Violin part. The titles of the movements, from the Four Elements, are descriptive of the moods of each movement.Water has the lines of the instruments flowing, as in a river with swirls and eddies.Earth has Jazz influences which are intended to give an Earthy quality to the second movement.Air, with mutes, glissandos, and quasi unmeasured rhythm, seeks to float; The finale Fire is crackling with excitement. Trombonist, David William Brubeck, asked Raum if she had anything written for trumpet and trombone as he frequently performs in a duo so she adapted the violin part in Four Elements for trumpet. The work can be performed by advanced performers. Two scores are provided, including one for C Trumpet and the other for B-flat Trumpet. This book is the guide for teachers to give to all parents enrolled in First Steps in Music classes.  First Steps in Music Parent Handbook provides teachers of parent-child classes a concise and detailed resource that establishes the goals and objective for the infant and toddler or preschool classes. The primary goal of the First Steps in Music classes is for each child to reach his or her musical potential. Parent participation is the key ingredient to the success of the program. By establishing a clearly defined set of expectations for teachers, parents, and children, the parents will be able to replicate their child's classroom musical experiences at home. In Chapter 2 of the First Steps in Music Parent Handbook, the teacher and parents will find information about registration, class schedules, tuition, fees, cancellation policies, make up policies, and more. Chapter 3 gives detailed expectations for teachers, parents, and children. Chapter 4 outlines the class structure and curriculum components for each type of class. The classes are divided into four age-related sections: (1) Infants: birth to 12 months, (2) Toddler: 13 to 29 months, (3) Nursery: 30 to 42 months, (4) Preschool: 3.5 to 5 years. Chapter 5 discusses the Lending Library. Chapter 6 addresses the techniques used during class. Chapter 7 is a commitment form for the parents that says they agree to the guidelines suggested in the handbook. This much-needed book is a must for any teacher wanting to set up parent-child infant and toddler or preschool classes where the ultimate goal is to help children become musically independent and develop a lifelong love and appreciation of music as they become tuneful, beatful, and artful!
