Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1109240 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Classical,Religious,Sacred. 10 pages. RayThompsonMusic #711789. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1109240). Arranged standard brass quintet. The Requiem in D minor, K. 626, is a requiem mass by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791). Mozart composed part of the Requiem in Vienna in late 1791, but it was unfinished at his death on 5 December the same year. A completed version dated 1792 by Franz Xaver Süssmayr was delivered to Count Franz von Walsegg, who commissioned the piece for a requiem service on 14 February 1792 to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of his wife Anna at the age of 20 on 14 February 1791. This is no 1 of the Sequenz Dies irae The Dies irae (Day of Wrath) opens with a show of orchestral and choral might A rising chromatic scurry of sixteenth-notes leads into a chromatically rising harmonic progression with the chorus singing Quantus tremor est futurus (what trembling there will be in reference to the Last Judgment). This material is repeated with harmonic development before the texture suddenly drops to a trembling unison figure evocatively painting the Quantus tremor text. It suits the brass quintet. Interesting parts for every player. . Mozart Section III of the requiem is titled “Sequenz†(sequentia or sequence). It is made up of the following pieces I have arrangements of all of them, for varying types of ensemble * Dies irae * Tuba mirum * Rex tremendae * Recordare * Confutatis * Lacrymosa I have also arranged Mozarts Motet “Ave Verum Corpus†K618.

Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1108344 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Classical,Religious,Sacred. 11 pages. RayThompsonMusic #710984. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1108344). Arranged standard brass quintet. Transposed from A minor down to G minor to suit brass instrumentation The Requiem in D minor, K. This is my arrangement of No.5 Confutatis (From the accursed). It begins with a rhythmic and dynamic sequence of strong contrasts and surprising harmonic turns on tuba and horn the tenors and basses (Trumpets and trombone) burst into a forte vision of the infernal, on a dotted rhythm. The accompaniment then ceases , and trumpet 1 and tbn enter softly and sotto voce, (Voca me cum benedictis ()Call upon me with the blessed) with an arpeggiated accompaniment on horn and trumpet 2. Finally, in the following stanza (Oro supplex et acclinis), there is a striking modulation from G minor to Gb minor. This music suits the brass quintet. Section III of the requiem is titled “Sequenz†(sequentia or sequence). It is made up of the following pieces I have arrangements of all of them, for varying types of ensemble * Dies irae * Tuba mirum * Rex tremendae * Recordare * Confutatis * Lacrymosa. Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1110352 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Classical,Religious,Sacred. 21 pages. RayThompsonMusic #712690. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1110352). Arranged standard brass quintet. Alt alto hn in Eb provided for Horn, and Euphonium in Treble Clef for trombone. The music has been spread throughout, to avoid a constant tutti! Using A euphonium instead of a trombone will give a smoother sound! The Requiem in D minor, K. 626, is a requiem mass by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791). Mozart composed part of the Requiem in Vienna in late 1791, but it was unfinished at his death on 5 December the same year. This is no 4 of the Sequenz Recordare At 130 measures, the Recordare (Remember) is the work's longest movement, as well as the first in triple meter the movement is a setting of no fewer than seven stanzas of the Dies irae. The form of this piece is somewhat similar to sonata form, with an exposition around two themes (mm. 1–37), a development of two themes (mm. 38–92) and a recapitulation (mm. 93–98). It suits the brass quintet. With this piano sheet music, you can play an accurate piano arrangement of Mozart's beautiful "Lacrimosa".
It's a piano version which is not too hard to play, and it sounds fantastic.
The Requiem in D minor is the final composition by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756?1791).
Since he passed away while he was working on it, he left in unfinished - in fact, only the first 8 measures of the "Lacrimosa" are his original composition.
The Requiem was finished in the following months by Austrian composer Franz Xaver Sssmayr, whose version is most commonly used today.
As the first lines of the Lacrimosa reveal, it's a rather hartbreaking piece:
"Lacrimosa dies illa" translates to "This tearful day".
It's certainly one of Mozart's most beautiful compositions - and it makes for a wonderful piano version.
If you like this piano arrangement, please consider leaving a review - it would mean a lot to me!
Here are the full lyrics to "Lacrimosa" from Mozart's Requiem:
Lacrimosa dies illa
Qua resurget ex favilla
Judicandus homo reus:
Huic ergo parce Deus
Pie Jesu Domine
Dona eis requiem
Amen

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - SKU: A0.931247 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Alessandro Macrì. Classical,Concert,Film/TV,Sacred. Score and parts. 13 pages. Music Macri Editions #5769131. Published by Music Macri Editions (A0.931247).

Woodwind Ensemble Bassoon - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1108138 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 25 pages. Regis Bookshar #710761. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1108138). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Bassoon Quintet - Advanced/Intermediate - . Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Bassoon Quintet and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, and also to give them the chance to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (25 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Bassoon Quintet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (28 pages). So, in addition to this arrangement for a Bassoon Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition.

So, in addition to this arrangement for a Brass Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition.
