Piano,Tenor Saxophone - Level 3 - SKU: A0.594424 Composed by G F Handel. Arranged by David McKeown. Baroque,Christmas,Easter,Sacred. Score and part. 4 pages. David McKeown #6658363. Published by David McKeown (A0.594424). How Beautiful are the Feet is one of the best loved arias from G F Handel’s oratorio The Messiah. This version is arranged as a solo for Tenor Saxophone with piano accompaniment.The original 1741 version of The Messiah presented How Beautiful are the Feet as a duet for two altos and choir, but in 1749 Handel revised the piece as a solo aria for soprano. This revision forms the basis for this arrangement. The text is taken directly from the book of Romans in the New Testament.Musicians at an intermediate standard will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performances. Total performance time is around two minutes. Click the link YouTube link to listen to a complete performance of the clarinet version of this arrangement.Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to approach expressive playing and phrasing. There are many more top quality arrangements and compositions by David McKeown for you to browse at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/david-mckeown/6203

Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax, Soprano Sax, Woodwind Choir or Ensemble - Early Intermediate - Digital Download Composed by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741). Baroque Period, Repertoire, European, Christmas, Wedding. Score. 9 pages. Published by KrahenfuBlieder
This arrangement was adapted for a wood quintet ensemble, ideal to be performed at weddings and by groups of music beginners, which does not prevent it from being performed by professionals in the area. The piece has approximately 2 minutes and 33 seconds of duration, being in a comfortable time for those performing it, so that there is no difference between this version and the composer's original.
The Four Seasons, Italian Le quattro stagioni, group of four violin concerti by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, each of which gives a musical expression to a season of the year. Unusually for the time, Vivaldi published the concerti with accompanying poems (possibly written by Vivaldi himself) that elucidated what it was about those seasons that his music was intended to evoke. This movement is illustrated textually in a sonnet with the following description:
Standing quietly and contentedly by the fire
While outside the rain bathes everything;
Walk on the ice with slow step
For fear of falling in the attempt.
To feel when going out through the stinging door,
Sirocco, Borea, and all the winds at war;
That this is winter, but such, that joy door.

Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax, Soprano Sax, Woodwind Choir or Ensemble, Saxophone Choir - Intermediate - By Mannheim Steamroller. Arranged by Lisa Ochoco. Score, Set of Parts. 17 pages. Published by Lisa Ochoco
One of the most recognized and performed Christmas songs is Greensleeves. This arrangement for clarinet choir is taken from Chip Davis' arrangement for the group that he founded called Mannheim Steamroller. As with almost all of my arrangements, there are differences in this piece that I adapted to my liking, but the overall feel is intact.
Scored for soprano, 2 altos, tenor, baritone, and bass saxophones.
This is a timeless piece that I hope you and your audience will love.

Piano,Soprano Saxophone - Level 1 - SKU: A0.548666 Composed by James Pierpont. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Christmas. Score and part. 8 pages. Jmsgu3 #3409331. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.548666). Jingle Bells arranged for soprano sax & piano. Score: 4 pg. piano part: 3 pg. sax part: 1 pg. Jingle Bells is perhaps the most famous songs in American music history. James L. Pierpont published the song as One Horse Open Sleigh in the late 1850’s. Since its introduction, people began to insist that Pierpont wrote it for a Sunday school choir. However, it seems unlikely that such a secular song would be considered appropriate during that historical period for Sunday school.Christmas Repertoire Pierpont wrote the song for the Thanksgiving holidays, but over time people began to think of it more as a Christmas song. Some choirs adopted it as part of their Christmas repertoire in the 1860s and 1870s. Jingle Bells was first recorded in 1889 on a wax cylinder. Origins No one knows where Pierpont composed the song. One theory suggests he wrote it in Medford Massachusetts in 1850. Sleigh races were certainly popular in 19th Century Massachusetts. To this day, a commemorative placard appears in Medford square claiming that it is the birthplace of Jingle Bells. Others suggest that he wrote it in Savannah, Georgia where he was an organist and music director at the Unitarian Church. This theory gains support from the copyright date of 1857. We know he was living in Savannah by then. Traffic Signals Horse-drawn sleighs are relatively quiet in the snow. Consequently, horses were usually equipped with bell-laden straps so as to avoid accidents at blind intersections. Sleigh drivers in 19th Century New England were constantly vigilant, listening for the sounds of approaching horse-drawn sleighs. The tune imitates the rhythm that the trotting horse bells produce. Social Context Jingle Bells was sung as a drinking song at local revelries: during the song folks would rhythmically jangle the ice in their glasses. A sleigh ride gave couples an opportunity to be alone together. The term Jingle bells is a poetic descriptive adjective referring specifically to the more accurate term sleigh bells. In many arrangements, sleigh bells are used to accentuate the rhythm during the song chorus. Register for free lifetime updates and revisions at www.jamesguthrie.com

Jingle Bells arranged for alto sax & piano. Jingle Bells is perhaps the most famous song in American music history. James L. Pierpont published the piece as One Horse Open Sleigh in the late 1850s. Viola Duet Viola - Level 3 - SKU: A0.587169 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by David McKeown. Baroque,Christian,Christmas,Sacred,Standards. Score. 5 pages. David McKeown #3077259. Published by David McKeown (A0.587169). Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring is the usual title in English of the last movement of J S Bach’s Cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben. Originally scored for choir, trumpet, violin and basso continuo, it was written in 1723 for the church of St Thomas in Leipzig where Bach was employed. This version is scored for Two Violas. Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances. The famous melody in 9/8 alternates with the slow 4-part chorale sections. All players will enjoy experiencing the rich texture of Bach’s harmony. The overall performance time is around three minutes if played at the faster tempo that Bach preferred. The sample recording is from the Clarinet and Alto Saxophone version of this duet. The complete performance on youtube is from the Clarinet version. Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to introduce 9/8 rhythms.
