SKU: LX.E99-3654H Composed by Mark Patterson. General. Ed Octavo. Accompaniment MP3. Heritage Music Press #E99/3654H. Published by Heritage Music Press (LX.E99-3654H). Downloadable accompaniment track for Grand Canyon Sunrise (15/3407H) The breath-taking beauty of a sunrise over the Grand Canyon is portrayed in this astonishing musical and textual creation. Beginning softly, as if awaiting first light, the work builds as shafts of brilliant sun dramatically break through to display the awesome wonder of an extraordinary place. Sunlight streaming down, paints the colors earth still hold, and brings this ancient canvass to life.

Brass Ensemble Trombone - Level 5 - SKU: A0.792344 Composed by Siegel, Wayne. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 197 pages. Gordon Cherry #4806555. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792344). Road Movie was commissioned by Professor Niels-Ole Bo Johansen of the Royal Academy of Music, Arhus Denmark and premiered in Salt Lake City Utah for the International Trombone Festival 2008. Wayne Siegel has written a compelling and dramatic musical canvas using a large, 16-part Trombone Ensemble. He uses many special effects on the Trombone to give his score a vivid sound imagery. Road Movie consists of three movements, each depicting a scene in an imaginary road movie. The first movement, AM, is set on an early morning on a country highway. The abbreviation AM is, of course, ambiguous, implying both the early hours of the day as well as the type of radio that was most common in cars in my youth. The second movement, Canyon Canon depicts a landscape inspired by the Grand Canyon. The third movement, Highway, the road movie comes to a most tragic end. This work of about 23 minutes in length is appropriate for advanced performers.

Piano and Double Reeds - SKU: IZ.CMW211 Composed by Daniel Baldwin. Score and Parts. 86 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CMW211. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CMW211). 9 x 12 inches. My wife and I love to travel together. We are always looking for places to go together, as well as excuses to include each other in our own individual travels. One of my personal favorite travel opportunities is the International Double Reed Society conference. It is an opportunity to catch up with friends, make new friends and contacts, and make beautiful music. A number of years ago, I started the All Star Double Reed Band that has now premiered over a dozen new pieces for large double reed ensemble, and has recorded an album of those works. As a combined labor of love, I wrote Impressions of Yellowstone for my wife, a concert pianist, to perform with this group. The first movement, “Little Grand Canyon opens with a chorale in the piano illustrating the simple majesty of the great and wondrous park that my wife and I visit annually with her parents. From there, the music exemplifies my impression of this wondrous landscape; beautiful, powerful. A deep valley with a waterfall on one end, it is one of the more beautiful sites to see in Yellowstone. The second movement, Grand Prismatic, is a musical impression of the different perspectives of this very famous Yellowstone landmark. From the overlook, you see a stunning pond with steam emanating from it and surrounded by color. However, if you are to go down and stand next to the hotspot, your perspective changes greatly. Sulfur smells, danger from the soft crust (with boiling sulfuric liquid just below the surface), and a hot, steamy fog of mist permeate the area.In the finale, Old Faithful, tone painting is brought out in full force as the opening piano solo material brings about the image of the geyser bubbling and building below the surface. Then, at the point of explosion, you hear the water falling and the delight of all of the dozens of onlookers who visit this most famous site at Yellowstone every day.The original version, for double reeds, is dedicated the All Star Double Reed Band and my wife, Tammy Miller, who recorded it on the Co-Op Press label. The version for piano and string orchestra is dedicated to Tammy and the National Composers Orchestra who recorded it on the Baldwin Records label.

Brass Ensemble Trombone - Level 4 - SKU: A0.734613 Composed by Eliot Daniel. Arranged by Dennis Ruello. Contemporary. Score and parts. 10 pages. Chicory Music #6671801. Published by Chicory Music (A0.734613). On October 15, 1951, the very first episode of the I Love Lucy show aired on CBS and became the most watched TV show in the U.S. for four of its seven-year run. Fun trivia about the opening theme song is that during the first season the show opened with their sponsor Philip Morris’ animation of stick figure cartoons of Lucy and Desi climbing down a pack of Philip Morris cigarettes. It was scored with Ferde Grofé’s Jr. The Grand Canyon Suite theme (a composition from 1931).From the second season onwards, the I Love Lucy signature tune we all know so well became the main theme, and one of the most recognizable pieces of music on the planet. It was written by composer Eliot Daniel who cranked it out in an afternoon as a favor to his old Coast Guard buddy Jess Oppenheimer, the show’s producer. Since Daniel still had another year under his exclusive contract to Fox, he asked Oppenheimer to keep his name out of it. Consequently his name does not appear on first or the second season TV credits for what became one of the most popular TV themes. Later, Daniel did seek credit and received royalties from syndicated reruns for the rest of his life. The lyrics were written by Harold Adamson for an episode in the third season in which Lucy believes everyone has forgotten her birthday. So of course Ricky saves the day after a near disaster. This arrangement for Trombone Quartet / Choir plus optional Acoustic Bass and Drum Set parts remains faithful to the original.Performance Time Approx. 1 minute 25 seconds

Level 5 - SKU: A0.1124743 Composed by Igor Korneitchouk. 20th Century,Chamber,Contemporary. 98 pages. Studio at the Post #725501. Published by Studio at the Post (A0.1124743). Parts only (see A725494 for Score). Duration: 22 – 24 minutes, Six Parts between 12 – 16 pp. Description: Each of the SerapeÌs has a programmatic subtitle that gives the listener a hint as to how to listen. SerapeÌs Nos. 1, 4 and 7 (subtitled Three Brothers) divide up the collection symmetrically as all three share variations of the same set of motivic layers. Nonetheless, despite their common genetic heritage, the three brothers all have radically different personalities. SerapeÌ No. 2 is called Burro for its loping cowboy-swing. Its seemingly infinite upward-spiraling progression through succeeding tonal centers reminds one of the mules on the switchbacks of the Grand Canyon. SerapeÌ No. 3, Starry Night, employs one of Korneitchouk's favorite devices of combing complex order out of chaos. Overlapping melodic patterns in 7/8, 8/8, 9/8, 10/8, 11/8, and 13/8 emerge -- three at a time -- out of constellations of apparently random notes. The brutal SerapeÌ No. 5, L.A. Smog, is rude. This SerapeÌ starts as a sonorous block of jackhammer intensity that later reveals itself to be in a very brisk 5/8 meter. In contrast, SerapeÌ No. 6 is the most peaceful and static SerapeÌ. It includes a musical portrait of the composer's refrigerator turning itself on and off in the dead of night. A drone, which suggests the 60-cycle hum of the refrigerator, anchors the subtle shifting and overlapping harmonies of the piece.

Brass Ensemble,Small Ensemble Double Bass,Drum Set,Trombone - Level 4 - SKU: A0.734625 Composed by Eliot Daniel. Arranged by Dennis Ruello. Contemporary. Score and parts. 11 pages. Chicory Music #6702907. Published by Chicory Music (A0.734625). This arrangement for Trombone Quintet / Choir plus optional Acoustic Bass and Drum Set parts is arranged in a slow ballad style.Performance Time: Approx. 1 minute 40 seconds
