String Trios a minor op. 77b and d minor op. 141b. Par REGER MAX. Les deux trios à cordes de Max Reger font partie, côté du « divertimento » en mi bémol majeur K. 563 de Mozart et des trio à cordes op. 9 de Beethoven, des oeuvres majeures du genre. Tant pour le style que pour l?ambition, Reger se réfère ici ces grands maîtres de la musique classique qu'il vénérait tant. Les deux trios portent l'empreinte du classique- ils plaisent de par leur caractère détendu, parfois même enjoué. Rien d?étonnant que leur création (1904 et 1915) ait remporté un tel succès. Michael Kube, spécialiste de Reger, a réalisé cette édition sur la base de l'autographe et de la première édition. Max Reger's two String Trios stand alongside Mozart's Divertimento in E-flat major (K. 563) and Beethoven's Op. 9 trios at the pinnacle of the genre. In their style and technical demands Regerhas clearly taken these admired classical forebears as his guide. Both trios are classicist in nature and delight the listener with their relaxed and occasionally even joyful character. No wonder that they proved highly successfulat their premières in 1904 and 1915! For his edition the Reger specialist Michael Kube has examined the autograph scores and the first editions of both works. This edition in parts also comes in a miniature score withexactly the same text published in Henle's Study Score Series (HN 9722).

Joseph Haydn composa 21 trios à cordes pour deux violons et un violoncelle dont trois ont disparu. Rarement donnés en concert ces petits bijoux de la musique de chambre sont pleins de surprises et très plaisants à jouer. Les 18 trios conservés font l?objet de deux recueils élaborés sur la base de l?édition complète des ?uvres de Haydn également parue aux éditions Henle. Le premier volume contient les trios Hob. V:1?8 et 10?13. La préface de cette édition Urtext donne des informations utiles sur la genèse des trios. Y figurent également de nombreuses indications d?exécution en particulier des ornements.
