My love is as a fever was inspired by William Shakespeare's sonnets. The work was created for the Faust Quartet with the aim of creating a counterpart to Alban Berg's Lyrical Suite using new compositional techniques, both in terms of emotional expression and technical requirements. It is a melodic-rhythmic composition, whose techniques consist of the transformation of non-European music and the music that was practiced in Europe a thousand years ago.
