Spring Fancies was written in 1915. It is a collection of two Preludes scored for solo Harp.Sir Hamilton Harty (1879-1941) was an Irish-born composer conductor and pianist who spent most of his life working in Britain. He is best remembered for reviving the fortunes of the Halle Orchestra in Manchester during the 1920s. However he also wrote many works of music including a symphony several arrangements of Handel dozens of songs and chamber works. Most of these have been overlooked since his early death at the age of 61.
