Classic Themes

These volumes contain easy-to-play arrangements of great classical melodies. The arrangements allow the music to be introduced to younger students. While designed to correlate with Alfred's Basic Piano Library, Classic Themes may be used with any piano method or instruction course.

This intermediate level collection of solo and duet arrangements of classical themes further builds upon the exceptional repertoire set forth in this series. The arrangements capture the essence of these extraordinary classical pieces utilizing themes from a cello sonata operas symphonies and more. Students will attain a more in-depth look behind these classics as they read 'About the Pieces and Composers ' and listen to the performance CD that is included.

In Book 2 of In Recital with Classical Themes the elementary level student is provided with exceptional arrangements of classical themes reinforcing the pedagogical concepts carefully constructed for the In Recital series elementary level. The elementary student is given the opportunity to play solo and duet arrangements with classical themes of distinction. They will also uncover engaging information in 'About the Pieces and Composers' with information about famous piano concertos symphonies and operas.
