This set of short pieces is for beginning players of any age, but may not be appropriate for younger children (possible Trigger Warning: public shooting and death). From the perspective of piano music alone, the pieces are are Grade 2 or between Level 2 (late elementary) and level 3 (early intermediate). For adult players, it should be possible to absorb the full emotional and dedicated nature of the music. For younger players, this is dependent on adult supervision. In some cases it could be appropriate to introduce the pieces to a young pianist without the dedication, simply as pieces that express the possible meanings of the flowers. Then, if appropriate, the
deeper meaning of the dedication could be revealed to them when they have grown and matured a bit.
