Waldorf

Description from Woodbrass :
The Waldorf Edition offers the popular PPG Wave 2.V, Attack and D-Pole plug-ins compatible with VST and AudioUnit for the latest Windows XP (32bit) and Mac OS X computers. Macintosh versions are Universal Binaries compatible, ensuring full compatibility with the latest Macs with Intel processors. The Waldorf Edition offers the following plug-ins: PPG Wave 2.V, the reincarnation of a myth that began in 1982 and continues today thanks in software form; Attack, a percussion synthesizer with a powerful virtual analog synthesis engine. It integrates both classic sounds of the 80s and electronic sounds of the 90s, all in a 21st century interface; finally the D-Pole, a versatile filter that offers the same possibilities as its hardware equivalent. Nothing prevents you from filtering your voice with 5 types of filters, from morphing a simple drum loop into a groovy rhythm thanks to the tempo-synchronizable LFO, to push the overdrive of the signal to more than + 52dB or to find the sound vintage ring modulator for delusional experiences, send it all through stereo delay or reduce signal sampling speed until you get clicks. Attack The Attack is a powerful percussion synthesizer for VST and AudioUnit. It integrates both classic sounds of the 80s and electronic sounds of the 90s, all in a 21st century interface. All sounds of the Attack are generated in real time, giving the freedom to act directly on all parameters. The Attack offers 24 percussion set sounds spread over two octaves. The sound archecture is extremely flexible. Two oscillators, each with nine waveforms, represent the sound sources. In addition, the Attack offers three samples to create hi-hats or cymbal crashes. . Ring modulator or frequency modulation extends the sound spectrum by adding metal components. The integrated Crack module faithfully reproduces analog handclaps. The Attack has a filter section with 6 types of filters ranging from resonance to auto-oscillation and overdrive up to + 52dB. Both envelopes are used to affect the oscillator pitch, FM rate, filter cutoff and volume output. Two modulation delays and six stereo outputs connect the Attack to the digital world. Embedding within a host software means that all parameters can be assigned to MIDI controllers, allowing you to create incredible dynamics changes. Still more: 12 sounds per drum can be played melodically. With this function, you can create congas or other percussive grooves in no time, play bass, melodies or lines of sequences. Create whole tracks with Attack! PPG Wave 2.V PPG Wave 2.V is the software reincarnation of a myth whose beginnings date back to 1982, and now available as a VST instrument for PC and MAC. The Wave 2 series were the first wavetable synthesizers with analog filters, a sound and conceptual revolution. One of the Wave's special features was the ability to navigate through 64 waveforms in what PPG had called a wave table. Nearly 2000 waveforms were available within Wave's 32 internal wave tables. Thanks to this new technology, the PPG instruments offered a much richer and more vivid sound palette than the synthesizers of the 1980s, which commonly only had some sawtooth, pulse or triangle waveforms.. The sound of the PPG was unique and very recognizable. This sound is now updated thanks to a VST compatible software environment. The outputs appear directly in the VST mixer and effects and EQ can be added as on any other audio track. MIDI tracks are routed directly to the PPG Wave 2.V input. The polyphony will depend on the CPU resources of your computer. Open up to 8 PPG Wave 2.Vs, each consisting of 8 multitimbral parts gives you as much room as your imagination will require. A new graphic page makes it easy to edit envelopes, generators and cutoff frequencies. The combination of modern software technology and the full potential of 80s sounds make PPG Wave 2.V a unique instrument. The D-Pole Waldorf is known for its innovative synthesizers such as Microwave, Wave avant-garde or Pulse in the pure tradition of analog. All these synthesizers share the unique and warm sound created by Waldorf filters. With the Microwave II, Waldorf entered the world of digital sound and made the impossible possible: a digital filter behaving exactly like its analog counterpart, but with even more flexibility. The D-Pole is the plug-in of a versatile filter that offers the same possibilities as its hardware equivalent. All settings can be automated and settings can be saved in simple programs or in banks. You will not have to interrupt you in your creations ...
