Cello Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1018958 Composed by Benjamin Harry Sajo. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 2 pages. Benjamin Sajo #6078715. Published by Benjamin Sajo (A0.1018958). Programme Notes: This composition was written to be considered for pairing alongside Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony #3, the Eroica, but can stand on its own virtues as an intense and slow meditation on heroism. The music is like a boiling pot on the stove that’s just began to overflow its bubbles. The first part of the title, kommos, is a Classical Greek term from Attic dramaturgy, literally meaning striking but specifically referring to beating oneself up during lamentation--ripping at the hair, gouging out the eyes--like Oedipus--slapping the forehead, and other acts amid moments of extreme emotional turmoil. For example, from Aeschylus's play Agamemnon, a character bewails: Apollo, Apollo! God of the Ways, my destroyer! For you have destroyed me-and utterly [...]What is this fresh woe [...]what monstrous, monstrous horror, beyond love's enduring, beyond all remedy? And help stands far away! We can easily imagine physical accompaniment to the script; rather than bottling up the pain, the hero lets it all explosively come out.  The second part of the title, When the world moved on, is an epigraph taken from American author Stephen King’s The Dark Tower epic. The primary setting of the novel, a world similar in many ways to our own, is experiencing a dark age where the glorious past is all but a distant memory and all good things are referred to wistfully as occurring, When the world moved on. Yet, the main protagonist, Roland, the last gunslinger, emphasizes that it is not just a figure of speech, but the literal distances between destinations have increased, the positions of the stars have changed, as well as the occurrence of other unnatural phenomena. The world has become a gulf of isolation from all corners. Taken together, this piece is a lamentation for when the world moved on. Truly completed on Yom Kippur during the Covid-19 Pandemic, being unable to fast or go to synagogue, this is my atonement.About the Composer: Benjamin Sajo (b. 1988) is a Canadian composer of contemporary classical music, as well as an educator. Since developing a fiercely independent creative voice upon the completion of his studies at Western (2010) and McGill Universities (2013), he continues to find inspiration from the intersection of mythology, art, and nature upon the contemporary human experience. In 2019, he released his premiere album of original music, The Great War Sextet: Canadian War Poetry with Trombone & Strings, with support from the Ontario Arts Council. He is a member of SOCAN and the League of Canadian Composers.

Was there ever a more contrived (yet FUN) group than the Black Eyed Peas? This one was EVERYWHERE in 2004 - I mean - look how many people wrote it ... it has to be GREAT. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1135733 Composed by JohnWillard Utuk. Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Film/TV,Instructional,Video Game. Score. 18 pages. JohnWillard Utuk #735794. Published by JohnWillard Utuk (A0.1135733). The Etherea Suite, Volume 1 is for intermediate to advanced players who enjoy lyrical, exciting, and showy repertoire, while expressing their imagination through their playing. Players get to musically explore the mountains, the desert, volcanoes, time travel to ancient times, and fight in battle! Volume I of the suite represents three main characters from the sci-fi, fantasy book Trials of the Innermost (release date May 26, 2023). Each movement has a distinct feel and reflects each character's personality. This edition features performance notes written by the composer, including musical elements unique to each movement, fun facts, and personal influences JohnWillard had in mind when creating the work. A graphic of the musical cryptogram system used to make the melodies for each character is featured at the end of the notes. The three movements imitate a sonata, with the overall order of the suite is slow, slow, fast. Some teaching elements in the first movement I. Vayriel: Protector of the Mountains, include: scalar passages (A natural minor scale), shifting hands position, rolled chords, repeated left hand patterns, ornaments, and pedaling. II. Zinvar: Peacemaker of the Volcanic Rifts is more challenging, but has more room for musicality, expression, exploring different touches on the piano, and ethereal use of pedaling, like the sostenuto pedal (if you have one!) The movement opens with a mysterious, wave-like arpeggiated left hand pattern, similar to pieces of Chopin or Rachmaninoff. The B section is practice in using the sostenuto (middle) pedal while playing softly, imitating Gregorian Chant. Best of all the ending sounds harder than it actually is and you get to play as loud as possible! III. Idrilia: Warrior of the Desert is fast paced, rhythmic, and inspired by video games. This piece is a nice supplement for students learning techniques found in toccatas, nocturnes, and pieces that require a big, full sound. The longest and most advanced movement, players can enjoy using all the things: pedaling, accents, quick changes in dynamic contrast, and a lyrical B section. Technique requires comfort with arpeggios, chord inversions, octaves, and sensitivity to voicing. Once mastered, this movement can be both fun to play as a stand-alone recital piece or an exciting treat to play for friends and family. You'll find yourself humming the simple melody as it transforms throughout the work, and the ending is a chance to play big chords by using the full range of the keyboard.

Most anthems date from the 18-20th centuries and are often an essential part of the political and cultural development of a country, e.g. on its way to independence or democracy. At the same time, the anthem conveys a sense of community and is a means to express identification with one's home country.
This edition contains 50 national anthems from all over the world, with original melody and chord symbols, complete texts in the original language as well as a transliteration .for the more .exotic languages. Now available in a revised second edition, the volume is completed by interesting information on the respective countries as well as on the composers and text writers of the hymns. This edition .encourages people to get to know the multitude of different national anthems and to sing along with the text.

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.987857 Composed by Robert M. Greenberg. 20th Century. Score and parts. 121 pages. Robert M. Greenberg #115423. Published by Robert M. Greenberg (A0.987857). Preferred Contact Information: RMonteverdi@comcast.net Performing Rights Organization: BMI Website: robertgreenbergmusic.com Facebook Band Page: facebook.com/RobertGreenbergMusic Duration: ca. 21 minutes Year of composition: 1988 Program Note: !. Games (fast) II. Intermezzo: Dreams of Gold (slow) III. Dances (very fast) Child's Play was completed in August, 1988. In no way does the title refer to the technical demands of the piece, which are considerable. Rather, it refers to the endlessly imaginative, energized, and constantly changing play that might be engaged in by four different, though like-minded children. Indeed, the inspiration for the quartet was my then two-year-old daughter Rachel, whose boundless energy and capacity for play I found (and still find) rather terrifying. Child's Play consists of three movements: Games (fast), Intermezzo: Sogni d'Oro (Dreams of Gold) (slow), and Dances (very fast). In Games, four energetic and well-rested players leap out of the starting blocks together and engage in sport of various kinds: running games, chasing games, teasing games, tag, echo games (Simon Says), races, and so forth, eventually returning to the unison from which they began. Intermezzo: Sogni d'Oro (Dreams of Gold) offers a quiet, episodic, dreamlike respite from the frenetic mood of Games. In Dances, the energized character of the first movement resumes, only faster. Dances is a perpetual motion movement in three parts, with a slower, more fragmented middle section sandwiched between a boisterous and frenzied dance of life. This movement ends much in the same way as the first movement began, bringing the circuit of the piece to a close. Child's Play was commissioned by, and is dedicated, with many thanks and great appreciation, to the Alexander String Quartet.

String Trio Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1193717 By Blake Shelton. By Ben Hayslip, Josh Thompson, and Matt Dragstrem. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Country,Pop,Rock,Wedding. 13 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #793190. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.1193717). *INSTRUMENTATION: VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO*Released in 2017 as the lead single from Blake Shelton's album Texoma Shore, I'll Name The Dogs is a fun, upbeat country-pop gem that has since brought joy to people everywhere -- enough that it landed the song at #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay charts! Lyrically, the song is an adorable story describing the singer's readiness to settle down and start a family with his girl, complete with all the ways he's ready to share their life adventure together (eg. you name the kids and I'll name the dogs). The song's theme of matrimonial bliss and its old-school country charm has made it a popular request for weddings and events, so you can't go wrong adding this one to your gig books! This Cellobat arrangement for your violin, viola, and cello string trio maintains the cheerful vibe, country feel, lush harmonies, and sing-along-able melodies of the original for a chart that's sure to get your audience dancing. Rated advanced-intermediate due to a number of syncopated and otherwise tricky rhythms throughout -- it might be good to look over this one for a moment, but it will be learnable for students and sightreadable for professionals.Sarah “Cellobat†Chaffee is an in-demand acoustic & electric cellist and string arranger. Currently, she performs with legendary rock band Aerosmith in their “Deuces Are Wild†residency show, and she is the principal cellist for the Raiders House Band, playing for a crowd of 60,000 at all of the team's home games. She also plays with many other groups including Premiere Wedding Music, Bella Electric Strings, the Femmes Of Rock, and David Perrico’s Pop Strings Orchestra. Sarah has performed and recorded with numerous other artists including Disturbed, Mötley Crüe, Celine Dion, Halsey, Michael Bublé, Sarah Brightman, and Lady A. Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1018940 Composed by Benjamin Harry Sajo. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 13 pages. Benjamin Sajo #6078661. Published by Benjamin Sajo (A0.1018940).

French Horn Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1018951 Composed by Benjamin Harry Sajo. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 1 pages. Benjamin Sajo #6078691. Published by Benjamin Sajo (A0.1018951).
