Instrumental Solo,Tin Whistle - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1159834 By Carole King. By Gloria Shayne and Noel Regney. Arranged by Cindy Blevins. Christmas. Individual part. 8 pages. Cindy Blevins #760096. Published by Cindy Blevins (A0.1159834). Note: You can see an excerpt of both the solo without fingerings and the solo with fingerings. The blank pages you may see in the samples are there on purpose to avoid showing more than the music sample. This arrangement is for solo (unaccompanied) Tin Whistle. You receive the tin whistle part without fingering diagrams, the same part but WITH fingering diagrams and a comprehensive fingering chart for your tin whistle. So if you enjoy playing the notes on the staff, there is a part for you! And if you need the diagrams for learning, or for using every time, there's a part for you! Tin whistle isn't just for Irish music, it is extremely versatile and fun to play! Please note, my Tin Whistle is a high D. I write for D whistle because it is a very common key that many people have. The fingering chart I put together shows the D scale, with chromatic fingerings you may need some day! But if you're playing a different key of whistle, you can also play this piece. It is unaccompanied, and all keys of tin whistle are fingered the same. So follow the part with diagrams if you need to.If you have a pianist in your life, there is a piano and tin whistle arrangement of this piece listed separately (I am not allowed to bundle them for reasons of copyright).

Small Ensemble - Digital Download SKU: A0.835769 Composed by Paul Burnell. Contemporary. Score and parts. 3 pages. Paul Burnell #3074281. Published by Paul Burnell (A0.835769). A text piece for one or more speakers with optional rhythmic percussion accompaniment performed ad libitum.Where the text is presented in bold the speakers should speak loudly, giving particular emphasis to text in capital letters. Where the text is presented in non-bold smaller text styles the speakers should speak less loudly or softer. The speakers should vary the pitch of their voice throughout to give emphasis to the structure and to avoid a monotonous tonal delivery. The repeated ‘words’ instinctively suggest a repetitive rhythmic style of delivery - this is fine. The spaces in the text can be interpreted as rests. If there is more than one speaker the performers may either speak in unison throughout or stagger their entries and echo or overlap freely, but without losing the sense of the overall structure of the text. Multiple speakers may also devise co-ordination points within the piece to co-ordinate collective unisons - then drift apart and overlap again. A single speaker could also perform with an echoing sound effect that gives the impression of multiple voices. If performing with percussion, then a pulsed rhythmic style should be used. The percussion may be freely chosen - drum kit, ‘found’ instruments, body percussion, pre-recorded backing track etc. - performing in any rhythmic style, but not detracting from or obscuring the vocal delivery. Programme note: ‘Wha-Do-Ya-Mean?’ was composed in 2008. It was tested as a warm-up exercise for the CoMA London Ensemble, and then developed into a piece, first performed by Paul Burnell at Battersea Arts Centre, London in October 2008 and then included on the 2010 album ‘Sticking with Childish Things’. It has subsequently been performed by CoMA Singers. The inspiration for the piece was derived from an increasingly fractious and reductive argument between two people, where one person was overheard saying What do you mean ‘what do you mean’? This statement illustrated the pointlessness of the argument, and how comically ridiculous and meaningless it had become, and effectively ended it.

Piano Trio,String Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.861898 Composed by Mark O'Connor. 20th Century,Contemporary,Folk. Score and parts. 55 pages. Mark O'Connor Musik International #6206157. Published by Mark O'Connor Musik International (A0.861898). Piano Trio No. 1 Poets and Prophets (piano score – piano, vln, cel) MO160APiano Score (parts available)Music by Mark O’Connor51 pages - 29:00 minutes in lengthI. Man In BlackII. The Tennessee TwoIII. My JuneIV. Hello, I’m Johnny CashPiano Trio No. 1 (Poets and Prophets) was composed by Mark O’Connor during the Fall of 2003. The piece was commissioned for the Eroica Trio by a noted patron for music, Kathryn Gould of Palo Alto, California. The world premiere took place at the Montalvo Chamber Music Series in California, March 5th, 2004. In a letter to the members of the trio dated 9/20/03, Mr. O’Connor lays out his plan for the new music. My initial ideas have sort of exploded in to the entire concept of the music with a real impact actually. Now I am piecing together the parts of it and then will eventually work on detail as I get the overall form under wrap. Here is what my inspiration for the music is; Johnny Cash.Johnny was a boyhood hero of mine, I used to sing his songs when I was 8, 9 and 10 years old, and played the guitar like him (sometimes up the fretboard strumming away). My mom used to help me transcribe all the lyrics off the albums, she also thought he hung the moon. As you can imagine, the passing of Cash for me this last week has been emotional. I am at my very best when I compose with my emotions at my sleeve, and guess what, it is time to do the Eroica piece. And I believe I will be able to craft a very unique tribute in to the form of a Piano Trio. There is something that is very fitting in all of this though. Cash was one of the few country music and rockabilly musicians to appeal to all ages, all types of people all the way into the MTV generation which is something that is hard to fathom. That one person can move musical mountains with his charisma and his voice. He sung about the prisons, riding the trains, about killing, and living, about lost love, about the gospel, about the downtrodden and the Native American, and about being stoned. His musical sound was the thing that got everybody though. He developed along with his guitar player Luther Perkins, a new and vibrant way to bring the music out.I also knew Johnny and worked with him, visited him privately at his home. Johnny also appeared on my album called Heroes, where he brought back the great story of the Devil coming down to Georgia to challenge young Johnny for the golden fiddle. My job now is to bridge what I am feeling about my inspiration for Cash, and bring it in to the instruments that I love writing for.I might not have imagined that this Johnny Cash concept would have worked out of hand, if it hadn’t been for your musicianship, insight fullness and graceful approaches in to the details of musical concepts and style. If the piece is good, then I will have no doubt that you will bring it to the forefront so others can grasp the intentions of the work, and in addition for others to enjoy playing it after you have brought it all out in to the open, and gave it a life. Original music printed from the composer’s manuscripts.Music editing, copying and engraving by Mark O’Connorusing Finale on Apple Macintosh 2003 Composed by Mark O’ConnorCan be heard on An American Journey by the Eroica Trio, Angel RecordsMark O’Connor Piano Trio with Soyeon Lee and Soo Bae soon to be released on OMAC Records Catalogue Number MO160A

Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1361805 By Dion. By Joni Mitchell. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. Country,Folk,Instructional,Singer/Songwriter. Chords/Lyrics. 3 pages. Brian Streckfus #946261. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1361805). Pages: 3Key: G MajorThis is not intended to be a super historically accurate version; it is more of a guitar version for those that might not sing (maybe you have heard someone do a solo SATB guitar version of a Beatles song). However, someone could use this version to create a simple or sophisticated version. The melody is exact but the harmonies were altered slightly. I often make a version like this to accurately sing the melody, then once I've done that, I feel like I can just go with it better. For some people, singing teaches them guitar, for me, guitar teaches my singing. Features:1. Condensed version into 3 pages with organized sections2. Chord names3. Guitar chord charts4. Guitar fingerings.

B-Flat Clarinet,Medium Voice,Piano Accompaniment - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1264319 Composed by Ali Hanna, Madison Julius Cawein, and Mark Twain. 21st Century,Contemporary. 6 pages. Ali Hanna #857172. Published by Ali Hanna (A0.1264319). I wrote this piece as an epilogue (pun definitely intended) to a traumatic religious event that took place in February 2023. I won't go into details so I don't risk triggering anyone, but let's just say it was a lot. This is also the first piece I've written where the text isn't my own because my composition professor at the time challenged me to do so.The text of the first half of the piece comes from Mark Twain's poem Warm Summer Sun. It's intended to be an acceptance of the fact that the singer isn't the same person they once were. As the poem repeats, the singer begins to say goodbye to their old self and lay them to rest. The text of the second half of the piece comes from Madison Julius Cawein's poem Take Heart. I see this part as someone in the singer's life giving them hope to keep on living, and who that entity is can be interpreted in a number of ways. For me, it was the friends and professors around me that helped me keep going. I didn't talk to many people about what happened, but just seeing everyone's faces every day taught me that if they can continue living their lives, then so can I.I ended up adding the clarinet part after a moment of inspiration during my trip to the ICA ClarinetFest 2023 in Denver, Colorado. Voice and clarinet are my two passions, so I thought I would use Epilogue to put them together. This piece has yet to be premiered in its current form, but I hope to someday. If you would like to premiere it, please email me at alisonhanna29@gmail.com.
