Studio-Pop consists of five movements. The firstmovement, entitled Marching on a String, is anenergetic rock march in a modern rhythm. Studio-Pop est une pièce en cinq mouvements. 1. Marching on a String (“En marchant sur une corde”), est une marche aux inflexions de rock qui affirme un rythme dynamique et moderne. 2. Dreaming of Summer (“Rêves d’été”) est écrit dans un chiffrage de mesure assez inhabituel dans la musique pop, la mesure 3/4. 3. Chicken Charley, est inspiré d’un souvenir de vacances sur la Côte d’Azur où le compositeur a été impressionné par un jeune Antillais vendeur de grillades de cuisses de poulet. La souplesse de ses mouvements transparaît dans la musique fortement dansante. 4. Candlelight (“ la lueur d’une bougie”) est une ballade gracieuse etmoderne, qui pourrait servir de toile de fond un dîner charmant. Les harmonisations sont passionnantes, mais trouvent toujours leur résolution dans une atmosphère romantique. 5. Discoteca vous plonge dans la vie nocturne d’une discothèque espagnole. Les accords typiquement espagnols et le rythme exaltant créent un finale exubérant.

Pop City combineert pop- en funkmuziek in de stijl van een film- of televisietune. Het is gecomponeerd in opdracht van het Orchestre d’Harmonie municipale de Phalempin (Frankrijk) en het verklankt de vitaliteit en energie van die plaats, die zich presenteert als ‘van nature actief’. Het popmuziekthema is zeer aanstekelijk en alle secties die in deze feestelijke muziek aan bod komen, zullen het publiek meenemen ‘in de groove’ iedereen zal willen opstaan om te dansen. De perfecte opening of het spetterende slot van uw optreden!

In dem Stück Pop City, das im Stil einer Film- bzw. Fernseh-Titelmelodie komponiert wurde, werden Pop- und Funkmusik miteinander vermischt. Das Stück wurde vom Städtischen Blasorchester Phalempin (Frankreich) in Auftrag gegeben und stellt die Dynamik und Energie der Stadt dar, die sich selbst als von Natur aus aktiv“ bezeichnet. Alle Instrumentengruppen werden von dem tollen Popmusikthema mitgerissen und kommen bei dieser festlichen Musik, die groovt und zum Tanzen anregt, zur Geltung. Das Stück eignet sich bestens als Konzerteröffnungsstück oder als Höhepunkt!

In Concerto d’Amore, a maestoso opening is followed by a quick and energetic movement that leads to a magnificent adagio. A motif from this adagio can be heard in a swinging movement, after which the piece comes to a close with the return of the adagio. This arrangement for concert band certainly brings this beautiful music to life.

In Concerto d’Amore worden drie verschillende stijlen gecombineerd: barok, pop en jazz. De maestoso introductie van de compositie klinkt als een barokouverture. Dan volgt een energiek gedeelte in popstijl, dat uitmondt in eenadagio. Een motief daaruit is daarna te horen in een swingende passage, waarna het werk besluit met de terugkeer van het adagio in een nieuw jasje.

Concerto d’Amore vereinigt drei unterschiedliche Stile: Barock, Pop und Jazz. Die Maestoso bezeichnete Einleitung der Komposition klingt wie eine barocke Ouvertüre. Es folgt ein energiereicher Abschnitt im Pop-Stil, der wiederum zu einem Adagio führt. Ein Motiv aus diesem Adagio ist in der darauf folgenden Swing-Passage zu hören. Dann kehrt Adagio in neuem Gewand zurück, um das Werk zu beenden.

L’introduction majestueuse, aux allures d’ouverture baroque, chemine vers un passage vif et énergique écrit dans le style de la musique pop. Concerto d’Amore se conclut par la reprise du motif de l’adagio dont la forme altérée offre une conclusion brillante cette œuvre richement colorée.
