He is gaining International recognition since he became at the age of 19 years a laureate of the International Marimba Competition Belgium 2004. Praised for his outstanding musicality and remarkable presentation at that age, he also received the 'Young Talent Prize' award. He also received the 'Third prize' of the International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music in Poland, the 'Talent Prize' of the Universal Marimba Competition Belgium 2007, the 'Culture Outstanding Award' in the Taiwanese Artist Festival 2006, the 'second prize' of solo marimba and the 'First prize' of marimba duo in APSandE 2003, and the 'First prize' of solo marimba and the young encouragement prize award at the Australian Percussion Eisteddfod 2002.Lin has been invited for master classes and several international festivals in more then 15 countries such as: the International Film Festival in Brussels, the Festival der Voorkempen, the 7th Valencia International Percussion Festival, the 6th International Festival Marimbistas in Chiapas, the International Percussion Ensemble Week, the Universal Marimba Festival Belgium and many European percussion days. In addition, he has taught in several universities - Griffith University Queensland Conservatorium, University of Chiapas, University of Patagonia, La Corunna Professional Conservatory and Hasselt Conservatorium. Contemporary marimba virtuoso William Moersch has consistently commissioned the best musicians possible to create works for his instrument. In 1984 Bennett wrote his first work for Moersch After Syrinx II based on Debussyâ??s Syrinx for Flute solo and written. Then in 1988 Richard Rodney Bennett agreed to create an â??Americanâ?? concerto and so composed this concerto in two movements I con moto and II con brio that display the versatility of the instrument. Both movements feature blazing cadenzas by the marimba but it is in the cadenza in the second movement that the marimba essentially becomes the entire Orchestra in the Orchestraâ??s dominant 6/8 time signature andleads the piece on to a brilliant ending. Composer performer and arranger Richard Rodney Bennett was internationally respected for his serious music and many award-winning film scores (Murder on the Orient Express Nicholas and Alexandra) as well as his works for children and his religious pieces. In addition this markedly versatile musician frequently performed as a jazz pianist. On his move to the United States the two sponsors for his green card (work permit) were Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim.

Difficile-très difficile. 10 - 15 mn Mais, c'est surtout l'interactivité d'un objet sonore mouvant qui m'a passionné. Au-delà d'une tonalité simple, il se dégage une multitude d'harmoniques, qui brouillent le schéma habituel. Il ne s'agit pas seulement d'un jeu musical d'exécution transcendantale. La surimpression entre les deux protagonistes est le lieu de rencontre de forces dynamiques autour de diffractions et de mélodies éclatées. L'expression musicale doit naître de ces rencontres de vitesses variables. Tantôt une cellule de base engendre des éléments discursifs de même contenu, tantôt elle fait place à des incrustations curieuses qui détournent le discours vers de brefs imaginaires. Ces dessins juxtaposés ou superposés apparaissent comme reliés par un flux énergétique permanent pour recréer un processus de vie sur des écritures sonores. La mobilité du spectre produite par ces hauteurs vivement étalées m'a poussé à l'alimenter au moyen d'une rythmicité précise, aux accents multiples. Le but final étant de créer un tourbillon électronique aux contours ciselés et au déroulement imperturbable, modifié seulement par les accélérations ou les ralentis - ceux-ci sont notés dans le contenu rythmique et imposent une stabilité hors du temps et ' anti conformiste '. L'ensemble doit s'échapper, s'élever et butiner dans l'air avec légèreté. Le mouvement central rassemble, au contraire, tout un potentiel expressif imaginaire et sous jacent. C'est une sorte d'accompagnement où le chant ne parvient pas à jaillir mais doit s'imposer par le phrasé. Celui-ci éclatera dans le final sous forme d'un jet de poussière exalté. Né en 1953 à Perpignan, Daniel Tosi est aujourd'hui compositeur et chef d'orchestre. Il obtient six premiers Prix au CNSM de Paris. Parallèlement, il accomplit des études à la Sorbonne où, après avoir réussi l'agrégation, il obtient un doctorat es lettres du Troisième cycle (mention Très Bien). Titulaire également de deux Certificats d'Aptitude (Analyse et Direction des Conservatoires Nationaux de Région), il occupe un poste d'inspecteur à la Direction de la Musique et entreprend un travail pédagogique selon sa triple activité de composition, recherche et direction d'orchestre. En 1983, Daniel Tosi obtient le Prix de Rome. Pensionnaire de la Villa Medicis jusqu'en 1985, il reçoit cette même année le prix Georges Enesco décerné par la Sacem. En 1986, il reçoit le Prix de la Villa Medicis Hors les Murs lui permettant de réaliser une oeuvre à l'étranger (Barcelone).
