These vocal scores (BA9181, BA9182, BA9183) of Mozart?s concert and insert arias are based on the ?New Mozart Edition? (NMA). The first three volumes comprise all arias for soprano and orchestra. They are classified according to voice type (high soprano, soprano, low soprano and alto) and arranged chronologically within the volumes.

Unlike the NMA the musical text presented in these editions is free from practical references on performance aspects or suggestions on performance practice. Instead, each volume contains a accompanying brochure, with detailed explanations on the execution of appoggiaturas and other performance practice phenomena which are relevant to every aria. In addition, there is a choice of suggestions for the performance of cadenzas and lead-ins as well as a suggestion for the ornamentation of dal segno parts, which are often found in the early Mozart arias.

Nine Amen and Halleluja Movements-Between 1728 and 1747 Handel composed these nine two-part movements for soprano and instrumental bass. Though speculation exists the occasion for which the pieces were composed as well as the exact date of their composition remain unknown.The soprano sings short liturgical phrases such as ?Amen? ?Allelujah? ?Alleluja amen? or ?Amen alleluia?. The editor has supplied a text for the movement HWV 275 which until now has for reasons unknown been without text. The Amen and Hallelujah movements are in easy keys (using up to one sharp or two flats) and the modulations rarely move to harmonically distant tonal areas. Handel figured the bassline very detailed which playsmostly an accompanying supportive role imitating the voice in a few places. The vocal part is distinguished by the repetition of motives by repeated notes but also by short or extended coloratura. Volta La Terrea Fronte Alle Stelle is a solo aria from the opera Un Ballo In Maschera (A Masked Ball). It is presented here for solo Soprano Voice with Piano accompaniment in standard notation with added chord symbols.Scribe's libretto to Verdi's 'A Masked Ball' concerns the real-life assassination of King Gustave III of Sweden at a masked ball in 1792 but adds a love story to what was probably a political murder. The King Ricardo is in love with Amelia wife of his friend Renato. Renato warns the King to beware a plot to kill him. The King visits Ulrica the mystic and she says he will die by the next friendly hand he shakes. The plotdevelops and ends with an exploration of the concepts of innocence and remorse.
