God's people are called to sing. His song has been written on our hearts, and we must give voice to what He has written there. And there may be nothing quite so powerful as a men's chorus joining strong voices together in songs of honor and praise to their God and King!

Russell Schulz-Widmar's original music is beautifully wrapped around the eloquent poetry of theologian and parish priest, William H. Vanstone (1923-1999). The text speaks of the costly nature of God's love for the world, and reminds us that God is not distant, but deeply involved in all our pain and grief. Scored for two-part mixed choir, the writing is both moving and accessible. Include this anthem during Lent and in services of healing and care.

The traditional Greensleeves tune seasoned with a dash of the Renaissance and a generous sprinkling of rhythmic whimsy. This intriguing arrangement is set lightly in compound meter, alternating between 3/4 and 6/8 time. A new treatment of a Christmas classic.

English composer William Boyce was born in London in 1711 and died in 1779. He began his musical career as a choir boy at St. Pauls cathedral and throughout his career, he wrote symphonies and church music. Alleluia was originally written for four voices a cappella; however, this arrangement has an accompaniment that may be used for rehearsal or in performance. The key has also been lowered from the original key of C major to Bb major, making this arrangement of this beautiful work for SSA voices more accessible for SSA choirs. The form consists of homophonic sections followed by canons and refrains with the homophonic sections. Whether performing a cappella or with piano, sing Alleluia by William Boyce with joy and enthusiasm.English composer William Boyce was born in London in 1711 and died in 1779. Fresh and striking harmonic progressions are a feature throughout this paradoxical text of peace in God and the cost of discipleship viewed through the lens of the early disciples. The setting is greatly enhanced by the use of the optional cello introduction and obbligato. An appropriate text for chaotic times! Cello part is optional.

Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) composed his String Quartet No. 1 in D, Op. 11, in 1871. Countless arrangements of its second movement, Andante cantabile, have been made, but it was not discovered until after his death that he, too, had arranged this movement in 1888, his version being for solo cello and strings. In this version, Tchaikovsky transposed the movement, originally in the key of B-flat Major, up to B Major. The singing melody is based on a popular Russian folk song, and it lends itself quite well for performance on trombones. This arrangement premiered February 14, 1997, at the Texas Music Educators' Association Convention in San Antonio, TX. Soloist: Ron Barron, Principal Trombone, Boston Symphony OrchestraEnsemble: Texas University Teachers' Trombone Ensemble (TUTTE), J. Mark Thompson, conducting. Andrew Russell, program organizer and presider. It was subsequently featured on July 7, 2012, at the International Trombone Festival at the Paris Conservatory in Paris, France. Soloist: Ron Barron, Principal Trombone, Boston Symphony Orchestra (retired)Ensemble: William F. Cramer Memorial Trombone Choir, Irvin Wagner, conducting.

This anthology presents organ, harpsichord and piano concertos - the majority not hitherto published in modern editions - by Handel's contemporaries and successors, including works by Felton, Cooke, William Hayes, Arne, Chilcot, Philip Hayes, Hook, Rush, Stanley, Charles Wesley, Crotch, Samuel Wesley and Russell, from among the 200 examples surviving from the period c.1740-c.1815. Among the most versatile genres of the time, it found popularity in pleasure garden, theatre, concert room and the home. The contents of this volume show the form adapting well to the stylistic evolutions of the period from late Baroque via continental gallant styles to a mature Classical style, though retaining a strong native tradition linked with Handelian oratorio in the idiomatic distinction between virtuoso piano concerto and concertos for organ.
