Cependant Nick Drake est l?objet d?une reconnaissance posthume, ses trois albums, loin d?être tombés dans l?oubli, suscitent un intérêt croissant auprès des nouvelles générations.

Nick Drake a traversé le monde musical à la vitesse d?une météorite. Artiste lunaire, magicien de la six cordes acoustique, ce féru de poésie se lance très tôt dans l?écriture de chansons. Puis il décide de tout sacrifier à cette passion, abandonne ses études, fait quelques concerts, finit par être signé dans une maison de disques et publie son premier opus : « Five leaves left » (1968). Reconnu par la presse mais boudé par le public, Nick Drake sort deux ans plus tard « Bryter layter ».
