These three pieces were written seperately between 1901 and 1910 for cello and piano but are arranged here for Violin and Piano. Three of Frank Bridge's more popular and familiar works from his early days of composition are included here and although masterful and beautiful are rather conservative in the use of traditional techniques.

Frank Bridge wrote these three light-hearted and fairly easy String Quartets for the English String Quartet of which he was a member to play at the Annual General Meeting of the Royal College of Music Union in 1904. Accessible for advanced school students they are published with the kind permission of the Frank Bridge Trust and transcribed from the original manuscript.

This work Trio Rhapsody For Two Violins And Viola was written in 1928 by Frank Bridge. This work of the English composer and viola-player is now beginning to enjoy some favour not least through the fact that he was the teacher of Benjamin Britten.
