Probably dating from the Weimar Period, this work
conveys a lively tempo with its name, but the main
impression it gives is of grandeur and glory.
Bach's authorship of this work is disputed. The
existing manuscript copy (of whoever's original work)
('not a close copy of a Bach autograph"- Williams, The
Organ Music of J. S. Bach, p.194) is labeled "Allabreve
con Pedale pro Organo pleno".
