Né à Florence (Italie) en 1981, Simone Stella a étudié le piano au Conservatoire de Musique "L. Cherubini "de Florence, avec Rosanita Racugno, et perfectionné ses études de piano avec Marco Vavolo.
Après avoir étudié à Florence orgue avec Mariella Mochi et Alessandro Albenga, clavecin à Rome avec Francesco Cera, et improvisation à l'orgue à Crémone, avec Fausto Caporali et Stefano Rattini, il a participé à de nombreux cours et séminaires organisés par des artistes de renommée internationale, y compris Ton Koopman, Matteo Imbruno , Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, Scandali Luca, Giancarlo Parodi, Innocenti Stefano, Schnorr Klemens, Ludger Lohmann, Michel Bouvard, Henking Monika, Guy Bovet.
Il a gagné les 1er Prix dans le 2e et 3e Concours d'orgue "A. Esposito" à Lucca (2004-05) et successivement le 1er Prix dans le Concours international d'orgue "Agati-Tronci" qui s'est tenue à Pistoia (2008).
Simone Stella joue, en particulier en tant que soliste, en Italie, en Espagne, en Allemagne, les Pays-Bas et le Danemark. Son répertoire comprend de la musique pour clavecin et orgue de toutes les époques historiques jusqu'à et y compris aujourd'hui. Particulièrement intéressant est sa performance en direct (2009-10) de l'œuvre d'orgue par Dieterich Buxtehude dans la vieille église Orsanmichele à Florence, où il a été organiste titulaire.
Simone Stella est un compositeur actif de musique instrumentale et vocale. Certaines de ses compositions sont éditées par l'éditeur italien Classica Viva.

I stumbled across your name
and music on this website as I
was looking for some music for
Christmas. I looked at the
score for your Toccata ex F
for keyboard.I tried to listen
to it as an Mp3 but I don't
seem to have the correct
plug-in for the Mp3 to play
from this website.
After looking once through
your score, I see that you can
write well for the keyboard
idiom, that you can write in
the ars antiqua style of the
Renaissance or early Baroque
periods. Your voice leading
looks all pretty correct from
a first reading. It looks like
you have harmonic movement in
your piece. I will print out
your piece soon and try to
play it on the keyboard. I
have little money these days
but if I like it and want to
play it again, I will try and
donate something to you,
