Miguel Bareilles began his piano studies at the age of 7 years with
Evi Zwillinger de Giangrante,
later at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música “Carlos López
Buchardo” in Buenos Aires, Argentina,
the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, and the Instituto Superior de
Música Popular in Buenos Aires.
Besides classical music, he specializes in Argentine folklore, tango,
jazz, pop, funk, rock, melodic
music and world music.
Since 1981 he has performed several times as a solo pianist in the
theater "Leopoldo Lugones"
(Buenos Aires), where he premiered his first piano composition
“Pequeña Sonatina Bonaerense”. At
the age of 11 he plays Astor Piazzolla’s work “Cafe 1930” (Historia
del Tango” in a piano four hands
interpretation with the renowned Argentine pianist José Colangelo
in the golden hall of the Teatro
Colon of Buenos Aires.
As a pianist performed alongside artists like Carlos Silvio Bergesio,
Jairo, Alberto Cortéz, Mercedes
Sosa, Charly García, Paz Martínez, Víctor Heredia, Juan Carlos
Baglietto, Ricardo Mollo, Sergio
Dennis, Estela Raval, among others, with appearances in
prestigious theaters in South and North

Sanmartiano de Buenos Aires, the albums "Huellas" (GLD) by
Carlos Bergesio, "Piquillines" (Up
music) by Marcelo Ratti, declared “of cultural interest" by the
Ministry of Culture of Argentina. He
did musical arrangements and original music (Ad Music) for the TV
network “Encuentro” of the
Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Argentina.
Among his compositions are: "Sudestada" symphonic poem for
piano and orchestra; "Buenos
Aires-Berlín", concert for piano and orchestra; "Tren a Finlandia",
symphonic poem for piano and
orchestra; "Qullu", concerto for viola profonda and orchestra;
"Argentum" symphonic poem for
orchestra; "Octubre", symphonic poem for orchestra; "Sinfonía
Blanca", symphony in three
movements; "Sinfonía para un pájaro muerto”, symphony in three
movements; "Toccata Camila" for
viola profonda, piano and percusión; "Diálogos": for clarinet, cello,
piano and percusión; "Grande
Sexteto Tanguistique" for two violins, viola, cello, bass and piano;
"Cristina" for string quartet,
"Tiergarten bei Nacht": sonata in three movements; "Grande
Sonate Tanguistique", sonata in three
movements"; "Fantasía Bolivariana", "Nocturno Kreuzberger",
"Impromptu para un tigre en un

Bareilles has brought since 2007 Kunstango to the stage in
