be seen from this arrangement for tenor and bass
recorders of the first of his Trois Duos a Viola et
Violoncelle, Op. 14. I have had to make octave
transpositions in places to accommodate the limited
ranges of both recorders, and this arrangement is, in
addition, slightly more austere than the original,
which gives both instruments a fair amount of
double-stopping. Nevertheless, this is a fun and
challenging piece to play for both of these under-rated
instruments, and a welcome addition to their very
limited repertoire. Tempo indications are editorial;
dynamics and and slurs have been altered to suit the
new instrumentation.
