Born in Resende Costa (state of Minas Gerais, Brazil), on May 18, 1994, he began his musical career at the age of ten (10), playing the recorder as a self-taught musician. A year later, he enrolled in music theory classes at the Santa Cecília Municipal Band, in his hometown, where he studied under conductor Mauro André dos Santos. His first instrument was the alto horn, and after a few months, he switched to the trumpet, which was bought by his family.
In 2008, he joined the Mater Dei Orchestra, under the direction of Maria Aleluia Mendonça Chaves, where he performed as a singer, trumpeter and French horn player. The following year, he joined the São João del-Rei Symphonic Band, which belongs to the “Padre José Maria Xavier” State Conservatory of Music. He graduated in 2012 from the Conservatory’s Technical Trumpet Course, taught by Carlos Roberto Goulart.
In 2012, he enrolled at the Federal University of São João del-Rei, where he studied Music, specializing in Music Education, where he graduated in 2017. He also participated in the Theodoro de Faria Wind Band and the Orquestra Popular Livre as a trumpet player, and in the Ribeiro Bastos Orchestra as a guest musician.
In 2013, he took over as conductor of the Banda Municipal Santa Cecília, in his hometown, where he worked for 3 years, training new musicians, gradually renewing the repertoire, and restoring works from the archive. That same year, he returned to the Coral e Orquestra Mater Dei as a singer and foreman, replacing the then conductor Maria da Penha Sousa, when she passed away, until January of the following year.
In 2014, he put aside the trumpet to play the euphonium, which he continues to do to this day.
In 2016, he left the Santa Cecília Municipal Band and participated in the public competition to become a music teacher for the Congonhas City Hall, becoming a permanent employee. Since then, he has been teaching children's music and choral singing to children in preschool and elementary school in three municipal schools.
In 2017, he participated in the process of reactivating the Santa Cecília Music Society, in the city of Entre Rios de Minas, together with José Antônio Gonçalves Moreira and other members of the association's board. In this project, he served as a music teacher, conductor and vice-president.
