Hi Erica. I have downloaded your recorder trio called Blue Skies and seek your permission to play this in churches around Axbridge, Somerset, UK where I live. We all thought this was a beautiful piece to add to are collection of music. Many thanks for your time. Claire Freestone
↪ Dear Claire, Please forgive me for being so slow to reply! I only noticed your comment today. Of course you and all may play any of my compositions. I hope you went ahead and did so in Somerset even without my reply. It is a very uplifting thought to think of Blue Skies being performed in churches in the UK. Best wishes, Erica
Hi Erica. Happy New Year to you and yours. I have just downloaded the Meadow Melody, Blue skies and Stately Address for our returning (from school days 40years ago) recorder group. We have difficulty finding music to play. These look fun and sound great on the demos. I will let you know how we get on. Best wishes Clive
↪ Hi Clive, Belatedly, thank you very much for your message from...January 3, 2018! (I am only slightly late in my reply.) I hope you and your group enjoyed playing Meadow Melody, Blue Skies, and Stately Address. I would love to compose more recorder trios because, to my surprise, there appear to be many recorder groups happily tootling along all over the world, including virtually during the pandemic. Thank you for your message! All the best, Erica
↪ Hi Erica, Just picked up your email!!! Back in the uk after 14 years in France. Your pieces went well in France. Have joined a pensioner group and will try your pieces again. This time I promise to let you know how we get on. Best wishes. Clive
Thank you for your update! I am responding in record time...within 2 hours of your email. I am delighted to think of these compositions being tested out and hopefully enjoyed by you and your fellow recorder players in your UK group after your experience with them in France.
I miss my recorder group, which disbanded several years ago. I would love to write more trio music in the future because my affection for the recorder -- which I feel is a charming, delightful instrument -- persists!
