Schumann composed Jugendalbum within less than two weeks between August 30th and September 13th, 1848. I think - he wrote to Reinecke - that the Album will sometimes raise smile on your face. I can't remember the time when I was in such a good musical mood as when I wrote these pieces. It was just flowing towards me. Das Jugendalbum entstand zwischen dem 30. August und 13.
