Chansons de Normandie was commissioned by the Central Band of the Royal Air Force and premiered on BBC Radio 2 as part of their D-Day broadcast from the Royal Albert Hall, London on June 6th, 2014. This four-minute work is based on three traditional Normandy folk songs: Les Metamorphoses * Le marchand de velours * Le corselet. An ideal concert opener, the work is in a lively dance tempo with suggestions of Renaissance dance music. Arranged for wind band.

‘The Fellowship’ is a musical homage to friendship and camaraderie, symbolised in two alternating, complementary themes. The themes are based on popular songs from two sister municipalities, one lying in Normandy (France), and the other in Rheinland-Pfalz (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany). Through the merging of their songs in this composition, their bond of friendship is sealed for eternity. The Fellowship staat voor vriendschap en kameraadschap. Deze symboliek komt tot uiting in twee thema’s, die elkaar afwisselen en elkaar aanvullen. Het ene thema is gebaseerd op een Frans lied, het andere op een Duits lied. Beide zijn populaire liederen uit twee partnergemeenten, waarvan de ene in Normandië (Frankrijk) ligt, en de andere in Rheinland-Pfalz (Duitsland). Door de samensmelting van hun liederen in deze compositie wordt hun vriendschapsband voor altijd beklonken.The Fellowship ist eine musikalische Hommage auf die Freundschaft und Kameradschaft. Composed by Gabriel Fauré and André Messager during their holidays in Villerville in 1881, Fishermen Mass in Villerville is a mass dedicated to the fishermen of this city located in Normandy. Initially for Female choir, Harmoniumand solo Violin, it was arranged by the authors in 1882 for Female choir and Chamber Orchestra. These scores, based on the two manuscripts, are the arranged version for Female choir and Piano by Odette Gartenlaub. Written inLatin, this mass features five parts which had been distributed in-between the two composers: 1. Kyrie - Messager 2. Gloria _x001A_ Fauré 3. Sanctus _x001A_ Fauré 4. O Salutaris (motet) - Messager 5. Agnus Dei - Fauré This mass isreally soft, melodious and delicate, reminding sometimes of the motets by Gounod.

An incredibly well-crafted patriotic piece that honors those who have sacrificed for our freedoms. The text is a poem from a survivor that pays tribute while being uplifting. The choral writing is careful and gracious. The piccolo offers an approrpriate sonority, as do the occasional handbells. Bringing the military hymn, Eternal Father Strong to Save is a crowing touch. High school, college, and community choirs will find this piece most useful for many reasons. Medium in difficulty.

Beginning in 2010, according to the Curator of the Normandy France Museum, a CD of the work is played each June 6th in honor of D-Day. On December 28, 2018, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed into law a bill making Here Rests in Honored Glory the Official New York State Hymn of Remembrance for all American Veterans.
