100 Studies For Trumpet has been edited by Franz Herbst for Schirmerâs Library Of Musical Classics. It contains a large selection of Etudes for solo Trumpet at Intermediate/Advanced level first published around 1850. Ernst Sachse (1813-1870) was a German composer publisher and virtuosic Trumpeter and Trombonist. He performed as both a soloist and in orchestras in Weimar London Leipzig and Holland. He composed several concertos and concertinos for Bass and Tenor Trombones and also wrote for orchestra and band. Best known today are probably his pedagogical works which are still used in many academies and conservatories.
