A logical and thoughtful addition to the previously published 24 Etudes Op. 15 of Joachim Andersen edited by Carol Wincenc and Bryan Wagorn the Op. 33 set of 24 Etudes explores and solidifies the rudimentary building blocks found in Andersen's earlier opus. In this present edition Professor Carol Wincenc and Bryan Wagorn continued in the tradition of Marcel Moyse a pivotal mentor of Professor Wincenc. As a young boy Moyse played for Andersen himself. In lessons Moyse would accompany the student in these etudesby creating a counterpoint to the original study often vocally improvising melodies and or lyrics. This edition contains a flute 2 part with counterpointinspired by Moyse.

Par GARIBOLDI. Etudes Mignonnes, Op. 131 by Giuseppe Gariboldi is a series of 20 studies arranged for Flute. Written with growing difficulty, Etudes Mignonnes, Op. 131 are easy for beginners to intermediate players. Giuseppe Gariboldi (1833-1905) is an Italian flautist and composer who wrote numerous pieces for Flute. Most of his study books are still used to teach the Flute, including also '20 Little studies, Op. 132' or 'Daily exercises, Op. 89'./ Etude / Flûte Traversière

Études Modernes for the Flute is a set of sixteen studies by Paul Jeanjean (1874-1928). Composed in 1868 and initially composed for Clarinet these studies would fit advanced players. Each one of these Études Modernes is 3 or 4 pages long and extremely technically challenging. They all require strong attention good endurance and they could be used to prepare the player for combinations of chords and rhythmic figures of contemporary music. Paul Jeanjean (1874-1928) is a French composer known for his clarinet compositions. He also composed ''Vade-Mecum' of the ClarinetPlayer' 'Arabesques' and 'Clair Matin'.

Volume 2-French flautist Marcel Moyse (1889-1984) studied at the Paris Conservatoire before becoming a renowned performer on the instrument. He was also responsible for training a brilliant generation of Flute players and his combined experience and expertise created the well-informed compilation 50 Melodic Studies by Demersseman for Flute. With notes in French English German and Japanese Moyse''s studies are accessible and versatile. Focus in the second volume is given to fingering phrasing tempo breath control articulation intervals range and ornamentation among other musical aspects. 50 Melodic Studies forFlute based on studies by flautist Jules Demersseman (1833-1866) is essential to the technical progress of advanced flautists.
