Par SOLOMON BARRY. Learn to play bluegrass jazz Guitar with this instructional book and 3 x CD set. When first listening to flatpicking Guitar legends Doc Watson and Clarence White, Barry Solomon was particularly attracted to their use of swing and jazz licks and phrasing, and their choices of songs straight from Tin Pan Alley and the Great American Songbook. Tunes like Limehouse Blues, All of Me, and Honeysuckle Rose were exciting challenges to explore after becoming comfortable with bluegrass and fiddle tunes. Barry Solomon always thought that bluegrass and jazz were a wonderful combination, and the most gratifying challenge has been to create arrangements that meld both styles in a tasteful and exciting manner. This volume includes the songs Lady Be Good, Take the A Train, Solly's Blues, Back Home In Indiana, There'll Never Be Another You and Georgia On My Mind. Accompanying audio is included./ Recueil / Guitare

50 Tunes Volume 1 for Bass is one book in a 5-book series. The 50 Tunes series is a collection of Bluegrass, Old Time and Celtic tunes for ensembles, families and individuals. This book contains the same 50 tunes as those found in the other 4 books of the series, but carefully designed for the bass. The parts in this book range from beginner to advanced and are arranged in basic, active and solo levels. Basic, a standard accompaniment mode is the simplest level of bass playing. Active bass is a mixture of basic accompaniment and walking which is common in jazz music. Solo bass--which involves fast, syncopated melodic phrases - is the most complex level of bass playing. All parts are written in standard bass clef notation and 4-line bass tablature. Tunes recorded by full band, not all instruments featured in every song. Includes access to extended length online audio.
