En 1978, elle interprète la chanson I Will Survive qui devient un hymne de l'émancipation féminine. En 1997, reprise par le groupe Hermes House Band, elle devient l'hymne des rugbymen du Stade Français, puis celui de l'Équipe de France de Football lors de la Coupe du Monde 1998.
