Mit dem Tanzhit Macarena hielten sich Los del Rio, zwei spanische Flamenco- Sänger aus Andalusien, im Jahr 1996 84 Tage lang auf Platz 1 der Hitparaden und übertrafen den bis dahin von Elvis gehaltenen Rekord. Heute kennt vom Kind bis zum Greis jeder den speziellen "Macarena-Tanz". Masato Myokoin verwandelte das bekannte Stück in ein überzeugendes Arrangement für Blasorchester.
