The version of Gustav Mahler‘s Songs of a Wayfarer for voice and orchestra, premiered in 1896, is certainly the best known. Nevertheless, this arrangement for cello and piano by Bruno Borralhinho is inspired by the very original version for voice and piano composed between 1884 and 1885.
