Here is a simple ostinato refrain-and-verse piece that can be sung by anyone. The text of the SATB refrain uses the musical images of tuning and song to put us in mind of God's presence. The verse texts are based on Chapters 6 and 7 of the Gospel of Matthew, providing a meditation on God's care for all of us, and the unison tune can be sung over the refrain or in alternation with it. Suitable for reflective prayer at any time, this piece would also make a fitting prayer to begin weekly choir rehearsal.
