Orchestral in nature, "An American Elegy" was written in tribute to the American spirit in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Features written out trumpet, flute and clarinet solos and requires sensitive playing by the enttire band. An emotional and stirring piece. Alto sax 1 & 2 double on flute.
