This group of three African-American spirituals contains one rather well-known tune, Little David, Play on Your Harp, and two less familiar numbers, Where Shall I Go? and Death Ain't Nothin' but a Robber. A mixture of lamentation and reassurance characterize the first two spirituals, while Little David is an outpouring of festive joy.
