Jean-Philippe Rameau composed for his operas lively dances in duple time called "Tambourines" after the popularity of the low pitched tenor drum from Provence.
This Tambourine arrangement in D minor is for flute and piano and it is Rameau's most well known Tambourin' originally performed in the third act of his opera "Les fetes d'Hebe".
The piece was also published as a keyboard arrangement in his E minor suite "Pieces de Clavencin".
The arrangement is essential classroom study and suitable for concerts, competitions, or a church interlude. Duration: 2:00
