Originally written by Billy Hayes and Jay Johnson, "Blue Christmas" was famously recorded by Elvis Presley in 1957 and became an instant rock-and-roll holiday classic! This arrangement for cello duet is fun to listen to and easy to play - there is nothing written above first position, and the rhythms are basic other than a handful of syncopations and some triplets. Easily sightreadable by professionals and advanced students, and playable for early intermediate students as well! A great Christmas staple to add to your binders when your cello duo books some holiday parties, or just a fun song to play with a cello buddy when you're feeling festive :)
