String Ensemble,String Quintet - Level 4 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.884230

By Dropkick Murphys. By Alexander Barr, Ken Casey, Matthew Kelly, and Woody Guthrie. Arranged by Halley Feaster. Contemporary. Score and parts. 26 pages. Halley Feaster #4794817. Published by Halley Feaster (A0.884230).

This is a String Orchestra or String Quintet arrangement of the famous Dropkick Murphy's song "I'm Shipping Up to Boston", originally written by Woody Guthrie.

If you look at The Meanest of Times album, and the Live on Landsdowne DVD, you'll see my name in the credits.  I used to work with the Murphy's, and I arranged string parts, recorded, and performed with them between 2006 and 2009.

You'll see some note heads with "X"es in the cello and bass parts.  This is meant for "chopping", but if the players aren't chopping yet, just have them hit something, because we need that backbeat!

Enjoy!  <3.
