Composed by George Gershwin. Arranged by John Romano. 20th Century,Jazz. 145 pages. John Romano #5828041. Published by John Romano (A0.874596).

Rhapsody In Blue (1924) by George Gershwin is an iconic concerto for piano but also possibly the most famous and recognizable clarinet solo in history. This arrangement by John Romano (2020) expands the prominence of the opening clarinet solo by giving a quartet of clarinets the role of the solo piano. The result is a delightful showpiece in the style of a jazz concerto grosso with string orchestra. In addition to a full concerto setting, it can also be performed as a chamber piece with string quintet or piano accompaniment (included). This arrangement is the complete Rhapsody In Blue. Traditional cuts can be made for timing purposes. The set includes a full orchestral score, all parts, and a piano reduction.
