Pure Caribbean. Pure energy. This tune is from a West Indian carol, so it has Christmas origins, but you could use it anytime of the year when you want to have fun. The two instruments are sometimes in unison, sometimes in harmony, and sometimes 'playing tag' (alternating phrases). Contains 2 key changes, some dynamic echoes, but always with a driving island rhythm. The piano part adds power and drive to the piece.
Instrument parts are Early Intermediate (easy notes, key changes go through some wicked signatures for some instruments, syncopated Caribbean rhythms); piano part is Advanced Intermediate.
Range-1 1/2 octaves both parts
8 page score, 4 page piano part, 2 page part I, 1 page part 2
1:15 minutes
