Carl Bearmann was the son of the virtuoso clarinettist Heinrich Baermann, initially appointed as second clarinet of the Munich Court Orchestra in 1832 and then later as principal clarinettist in 1834 when Heinrich Baermann retired.
This duet is ideal for intermediate students to perform and is essential study repertoire for teacher and student or two or more students to play, combining cantabile musical phrasing and technique.
