The present edition contains the work "senza pressione", tre momenti musicali per violoncello e pianoforte, composed for the cellist Simon Schachtner in August and September 2020. The title indirectly refers to the work "pression" for violoncello solo by Helmuth Lachenmann, premiered in Como in 1970, and in a certain sense represents the "Killmayer counter-variant" of Lachenmann's highly artificial, avant-garde revolutionary aesthetic of the 1970s, and is primarily committed to the lightness of bowing.
The work was premiered as part of an event organized by the Verband Tonkünstler München e.V. on the topic of Composers in Bavaria/Munich Schools: Rheinberger and the Consequences on October 12, 2020 in the Rubinstein Hall in Munich. The performers were Simon Schachtner, violoncello and Henri Bonamy, piano.
