This edition: First movement marked "Allegro con fuoco" transcribed for two equal clarinets.)
Weber wrote this virtuosic piece during 1815 and 1816 for himself to perform the piano accompaniment and Heinrich Baermann the solo clarinet part.
With a performance time of approximately five and half minutes this first movement clarinet duet would make a perfect encore or contest piece.
