Composed by Melchior Franck. Arranged by Marilyn Rummel. Christmas,Classical,Folk,Spiritual,World. Score. 4 pages. Demand Music #4988515. Published by Demand Music (A0.849965).

A stately version of this old favourite. Composed over 400 years ago, it has undergone many changes in that time in both tune shape and words, with 3 different Silesian German sets of words, and many English ones. I hope this arrangement, while modern in harmony and with the tune altered to what is often sung today in English, will bring to mind and ear some of the noble feelings of tribute to the fir tree, evergreen and steadfast, of the original.

Intermediate level, with one simple lever flip. Needs a 34/36 string to play all the verses without alteration.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
