Composed by Traditional Irish Ballad. Arranged by Serena O'Meara. Celtic,Folk,Holiday,Irish,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Score and parts. 5 pages. O'Meara Music #5026105. Published by O'Meara Music (A0.803837).

Carrickfergus is a town in County Antrim, north of Belfast. The lyrics tell of a nostalgic person missing his homeland and wishing he could move back to Carrickfergus. In this arrangement, the beautiful melody is augmented by flowing arpeggiated interludes representing the sound of waves from the sea.

The Multi-level pieces were initially arranged in an A Version. When that was completed, it was then simplified to form the B Version.  The B Version has thinner lines and allows more time for placing the fingers. The purpose is to permit harpists of various playing levels to enjoy performing together.

In the key of G, the melody is divided evenly between parts. Dynamics are clearly marked.
