The flute solo from the original recording is rendered here as a sax soli that begins in unison and splits into dazzling harmony.
Difficulty: the horn parts are not excessively range taxing. This would make for a fun instrumental feature on a program with anywhere from young players to community groups who don’t have the complement of a full big band. A fun piece to play, and fun for audiences to hear again!
