Composed by Cindy Wilson, Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, Keith Strickland, and Ricky Wilson. Arranged by Blake LaBarge. Rock. Score and parts. 39 pages. Blake LaBarge #644324. Published by Blake LaBarge (A0.1039375).

Rock Lobster is a song written by Fred Schneider and Ricky Wilson from the band The B-52's. This song became one of their most iconic, launching the band's career. Rock Lobster is a fun, quirky, and energetic party song with a repeated driving guitar riff, a catchy melody, and even aquatic animal calls. My arrangement for brass band is inspired by the style of Lucky Chops, so even though this is a "brass band," saxophones are involved. This type of brass band originated in New Orleans. Program Notes: -Drumset player, even though I've written a full part for you, the idea is that you play whatever you want, as long as it fits the style of the piece. Treat my part for you as a base, build off from it however you please. -Optional 8vas are HIGHLY recommended. These really enhance the arrangement. -Trumpet and Alto Saxophone, in your parts starting at J, it says to make aquatic animal noises with your instrument. Each time you make a noise, do something wildly different from before. Use any techniques such as growling, rapid tounging, enharmonics, etc. to achieve such sounds. -It's more fun when you memorize the music!
