Staffa is a small island, not far from the Isle of Mull - it's where Fingal's Cave is. Mrs Macdonald was the laird's wife, and someone dedicated this dance tune to her. Since it's a reel, play it a couple of times, fast! (The audio clip is straight through without repeats.).
