Cello Duet Cello - Level 2 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1248646

Composed by George Coles. Arranged by Phyllis Hopper. Christian,Religious,Sacred. Score. 2 pages. HopSez Productions #843136. Published by HopSez Productions (A0.1248646).

This beloved LDS hymn is now available for two (or three) cellos, with or without a simple two-part- invention-style piano accompaniment. The melody is played by the first cello, while the second cello plays a pizzicato bass line. A third cellist may play the bass clef line of the piano part, if you opt to realize this piece without a piano. The hymn is fully complete when played by two - or three - cellos; the piano is optional.

Note: this hymn has been raised a half step, from the hymnal's Ab to A, for ease of string playing. If the pianist knows how to replace flats with sharps, they could easily accompany directly from the hymnal, and the congregation could sing along as the cellos play.
